How do you ensure effective learning in group tuition? |
|
Effective learning can only take place when students are given adequate attention. Teacher must be able to help student analyse and pick out his/her obstacle as each student will have different difficulty in their work. After years of experience, classes have always be en capped at a maximum of 6 students. And the classroom arrangement has been made such that every single student is sitting in the first row so that their workings can be monitored. |

How do you know if students are able to follow your class? |
|
At the end of each lesson, there will be a short quiz (15 to 20 minutes) on the topic taught during the lesson itself. The quiz solution will be discussed immediately after so that students can identify where they need more attention on. This will encourage students to pay attention during the lesson and the results of the quiz will be recorded to track students’ progress. Short quizzes are also good for students to get use to solving questions under exam condition with a limited time given. |

Do you have homework for the students? |
Yes, a set of questions with worked solutions will be given to students as homework after each session. This is to ensure that students have adequate practise to internalise the concept. |
